Energeo's LOCATE solution
Founded in 2015, Energeo Ltd specialises in sourcing and analysing geospatial data and imagery, to help organisations accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
One of Energeo’s key services that Mike has been involved in is LOCATE, is a platform for interrogating and analysing demographic, geospatial & satellite imagery, to help guide Smart City designers.
Energeo’s products help Identify wasteful buildings that could be improved with solar panels across the county. It uses analysis, from in-depth satellite imagery that can provide information on everything from soil conditions to Infra-red detection of temperature variations, ideal indicators for identifying, energy efficient solutions.

Energeo Intelligence Boosts Lambeth Council’s Climate Emergency Plans
Working with councils Lambeth to use the data, to identify granular information that could be used to make decisions on tactical solutions targeted for solar panels
Did you know that Lambeth, one of hundreds of UK councils to have declared a climate emergency, aims to become carbon neutral by 2030? Impressive?
LOCATE helped identify that the potential for 100 tons CO2 savings annually and is helping them with the How.
Trail blazers, Oxford county council are beta testing LOCATE
Oxford County Council is using a beta version of LOCATE, to work out where EV charging facilities could be placed, and how they could approach electrifying transport in the county.
Qn: What is next for Energeo?
We are raising money in a Seed funding round to enable us to develop and scale the business. We are looking for £500k at this stage which will enable us to complete our LOCATE platform and expand the team.

What is next for TrustStamp?
Truststamp continues to grow and employs nearly 100 people. Having recently completed a capital raise on the OTC QX market it will use that money to accelerate our expansion.
The world of Digital Identity and the use of biometrics is at the early stage but the goal is play a leading role in helping to provide a safe and protected route to financial inclusion for the 1 billion people who are currently “locked” out.
Qn: What's the biggest challenge in respect to Climate change, and do you think the 2030 goal of significant reduction in CO2 is possible with the data you have seen?
I see that there is a massive growing sense that, as a species, we now know that there is a real crisis ahead – but – being aware and being willing to change our way of life and perhaps be the first generation to voluntarily reduce our standards of living and pay higher prices for things like energy that have traditionally been abundant and ever cheaper is an open question.
How do we convince people with very little that they should forgo the opportunities they see so many other enjoy?
Why should they when others continue to expand and grow and become wealthier.
Ultimately this is a question about equity and whether those with the most will share more with those that have little to help them solve the challenges of how we live more healthily in world of finite resources.
Qn: What's next for Mike?
I love working with start-ups and the energy and buzz something new and groundbreaking. I would like to use the skills and knowledge I have gained to help entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey and avoid some of the mistakes I made on the way.
